About Ztove Pots and Pans
Questions and answers about Ztove’s pots and pans
Can I use the Ztove cookware on a normal hob?
Ztove’s pots and pans work on all induction hobs, but you can only control the temperature with a Ztove hob.
On other hobs, you can monitor the temperature.
Can Ztove cookware be put in the fridge/freezer?
Yes. Ztove cookware can be placed both in the refrigerator and in the freezer.
Can Ztove's cookware go in the dishwasher?
No. Ztove cookware cannot go in the dishwasher as there is a risk that it will damage the battery and electronics.
Can Ztove's cookware go in the oven?
No. Ztove cookware is not oven safe as the electronics in the handle cannot withstand high temperatures.
How long does the non-stick last?
Yes. Ztove’s non-stick pans last longer than regular non-stick pans.
Non-stick coatings are notorious for wearing off easily, often due to overheating. If your non-stick pan goes over 260 °C, you risk damaging the coating and, in the worst case, releasing unwanted fluorocarbons into your food.
With the Ztove system, we have set a maximum temperature of 250 °C. Overheating is therefore not an issue as long as you use the cookware on a Ztove hob. The result is that our pans last significantly longer.
Can Ztove replace my sous vide?
Yes. You can do sous vide with vacuum and plastic, just as you are familiar with from your sous vide machine. You can also do it without plastic – although technically, this would be considered as brining. We have tested both methods, and they work really well. You can find recipes and inspiration for both approaches in the app.
Can Ztove replace a deep fryer?
Yes, it can. You can keep the oil at the desired temperature, so you do not burn anything, but you do not get “soggy” results either.
Ztove also provides higher output than the average deep fryer. So Ztove actually holds the temperature better when food (especially frozen food) is lowered into the oil.
In the app, you can find several different deep-frying recipes.
