
Tartar Sauce
Tartar Sauce, or Sauce Tartare as it is also known, is a condiment made of mayonnaise, pickles and herbs. It goes particular well with fried fish and seafood. But it’s also delicious with french fries or in a burger.
Ingredients
Tartar sauce
1 pcs. Shallots
2 tbsp. Capers
3 pcs. Gherkin
1 tbsp. Tarragon
1 tbsp. Chives
1 tbsp. Dill
1 tbsp. Parsley
200 gram Mayonnaise
2 tbsp. Plain yoghurt
0.5 tbsp. Dijon Mustard
Lemon juice from ½ a lemon

Chop vegetables and herbs
Peel the onion and chop it finely, the pieces should be about 1 mm in size.
Chop the capers and gherkins as finely as the onion.
Rinse the herbs and chop them as finely as the other ingredients. This distributes the flavour.
Add it all to a bowl.

Mix the sauce
Add mayonnaise, yoghurt, mustard and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix well.
Notes
Instead of 3 gherkins you can use 1 tablespoon of relish or 1-2 pickles.
You can use greek yoghurt instead of mayonnaise.
